Ted Sherwood graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1983. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Tulsa (BSBA '77). Ted is president of the Sherwood & McCormick Law Firm, Tulsa, Oklahoma and his practice is primarily in the area of complex litigation which includes business, construction, products liability and nursing home/medical negligence. Ted is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating from this national attorney rating service. He has served as president (1996) and on the Board of the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association (1988-89, 1991-) Member of the Year (2004 and 2011); appointed by Governor Brad Henry to Select Committee on Medical Malpractice Reform (2003); Board of Areawide Agency on Aging of Oklahoma County (1997); Board of Tulsa Senior Services (1998-2001); recognized in the 2009 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®. Ted serves as president of the Vintage Housing Board (2003 -), the affordable housing arm of LIFE Senior Services. Ted has also served as president and on the Board of Trustees for All Souls Unitarian Church.

Ted has extensive jury trial experience in cases involving professional negligence and personal injury. He has given presentations at numerous CLE seminars on topics such as evidence, trial practice, and personal injury. He has authored four published articles on the following topics: nursing home negligence; presentation of medical thermography evidence; cross-examination of economists, and the duty to supplement discovery responses.
